A classic deep woods, summer soundscate. The insects' droning seems to slow everything down as the high tempuratures bake the land. Every now and then you'll hear some bird calls in this recording. Towards the end, the insects temporarily stop and a goldfinch answers with his/her own call.

This single crane bird (grus grus)calls for a partner. Its recorded in the middle of the summer in the middle of sweden. The bird stood aprox. 20 meters from the microphone on a fieldclose to a forest. Thats why it sounds like added reverb (echo). Use however you like. Free to use.

It was fun to watch their reaction to the recorder but they eventually figured out it was harmless. I placed a radioactive towards a series 900 mini-monitor (gm tube), starting from about 50cm away. Saturation is reached 5cm away. I repeated moved the rock towards and away from the detector over a period of 2 minutes. I used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

Gorgeous sound of two vintage british diesel locos pulling a 13 carriage train. Recorded using the built in mics on a cannon powershot g15 then processed to try and remove as much wind noise using izotope ozone in m/s mode, (much of the wind noise was in the side channel).

I think i recorded this with an akg perception 200 using cool edit -- and i did it to get my room-mate to leave (after we recorded the sounds of several of his guns and a sword. . . ).
